About Donna

I am the baby of the family, the last of the Mohicans, the possible (probable) mistake, etc. But, it turned out that I was born the day after my nine year old sister's funeral so everyone always saw me as the blessing that distracted them from their great sorrow and loss.

Today, I have three great kids and have been married to my husband for 22 years. I started my own accounting business when my first son was born so that I could stay at home and raise my kids while working. I am so grateful to my husband for encouraging me to stay with it when I got frustrated and wanted to go get a job because now I am very happy and making enough money with the freedom that everyone wishes for.

Five years ago I got this bright idea to plant vineyards on our property so that I could teach my kids how to work hard and grow things like my parents taught me. Well, it has been an adventure. A lot more work than I ever dreamed it would be. Even though I am eventually getting the kids on board with helping me, I have to admit that I feel like a farm hand way too often.

After my kids are raised I hope to travel to Italy and France and see the old vineyards and enjoy traveling.
